Display Posts On Other Websites

Display Posts On Other Websites

I have experienced high demand among my clients with WordPress websites to display their posts on other websites. To cater to this demand, I decided to build a plugin that allows my clients to display their posts on other websites. The following case study outlines our objectives, process, results, risks, and conclusion for this project.

Objectives

My primary objective was to develop a plugin that meets our clients’ demands to display their posts on other websites. Additionally, I aimed to create a solution that is user-friendly, customizable, and provides our clients with valuable insights.

Process

To initiate the project, I conducted an extensive research on my clients’ requirements and demands for such a plugin. I then designed a solution that fits as many of these demands as possible.

The development of the plugin required building two separate plugins. The first plugin is designed for the website to display posts from, while the other plugin is designed for the website to display the posts in.

The plugin for the website displaying the posts allows other websites to display my clients’ posts. To do so, they need to provide an API key and the website to display posts from. The plugin works by calling a WordPress shortcode that will display the posts. When a user clicks on a post from my clients’ website on another website, they will be redirected to the original website. This is done using a predefined URL parameter that enables my clients to keep track of the plugin’s effectiveness and the websites displaying their posts.

The plugin for the website to display posts from adds a new settings page that allows my clients to choose which posts to display on other websites. The admin panel displays statistics such as traffic generated using the plugin, websites providing the most traffic, and my clients’ posts’ click rate on other websites.

Results

The plugin was successfully developed and deployed, and it has met my clients’ demands and requirements. My clients have reported increased traffic and engagement on their WordPress websites due to the plugin’s ability to display their posts on other websites.

The statistics provided by the plugin have also been valuable for our clients. They can see which websites are providing the most traffic and which posts are generating the most clicks. This information enables our clients to make data-driven decisions to optimize their website’s performance.

Risks

One potential risk of the plugin is that it may not be compatible with some WordPress websites. However, I have tested the plugin extensively and ensured that it is compatible with the majority of WordPress websites.

Another risk is that the plugin may not generate as much traffic or engagement as my clients expect. However, I have provided our clients with valuable insights through the statistics provided by the plugin. This enables them to adjust their strategy and optimize their website’s performance.

Conclusion

The development of the plugin was a success, and it has met my clients’ demands and requirements. The plugin provides my clients with a user-friendly solution to display their posts on other websites and provides valuable insights through the statistics provided. While there are potential risks associated with the plugin, I have tested it extensively and provided our clients with the necessary information to optimize their website’s performance. Overall, me and the clients are pleased with the outcome of the project and the value it has provided to our clients.
